SANFORD–Using the topic, “Your belief system will guide your actions,”  prayer lunceon speaker John Linderman, held the audiences’ attention with his delivery telling them that through belief in God, nothing is impossible.  He related a petition to God when he was only 5 years old, and God answered his prayer, healing his mother three days later from a painful problem she had suffered for more than a year.  The catered luncheon, held at St. Luke United Methodist Church, had an overflow crowd in attendance for the 62nd anniversary of the observance.  Sponsored locally by the YMCA, board member Phillip Chappel was presented the outstanding volunteer award, and entertainment was by the Rivertones of Deep River School who received a standing ovation for their rendition of Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror.  The choir was directed by local entertainer and teacher, Kim Brown.

More local news can be heard Monday through Friday on WWGP 1050 and Classic Hits & Oldies.
