An Indiana man has been charged with two counts of felony theft after misrepresenting himself as Brantley Gilbert.
According to the Journal Gazette in Ft. Wayne, IN, Thomas Michael Barth of Howe, IN is charged with sending emails and texts posing as Brantley to obtain $8,000 worth of personal products and clothing from Robert’s Signs. He also allegedly got more than $4,000 in musical and electronic equipment from musician Kevin Kyle as part of the scheme.
A lot of the merchandise has been recovered. Brantley Gilbert’s camp has received several complaints about Barth, who turned himself in to police last Thursday.
