Is Miranda Lambert ready to make nice with Eric Church? We’re not so sure after her latest tweet digs deeper into his Rolling Stone interview.
Miranda first took issue with Eric criticizing artists getting their start on reality shows in the article since she got her start on Nashville Star about eight years ago. Eric apologized in a statement released Monday night that also further clarified his statement.
Now, Miranda is highlighting another part of Eric’s Rolling Stone interview in which he talks about not wanting to perform for an older crowd at festivals. It seems Eric would get his guitarist to play heavy metal riffs in soundcheck to get rid of older fans.
Eric is quoted in Rolling Stone as saying, “It didn’t interest me to play for people who were 80 years old. They’ll be dead soon anyway. By the time you come back on tour and play again, they’ll be gone.”
Miranda posted a picture of that quote from the magazine on Twitter Tuesday with the caption, “Uh oh: Willie [Nelson] better hurry! He turned 79 yesterday!”
She ended the caption with a smiley face, so that could mean Miranda is just having fun with Eric. We’ll keep you posted on any further developments.
