Easy come, easy go, easy like Sunday morning: Lionel Richie is apparently no longer involved with ABC’s upcoming reality singing competition Duets.   A spokesperson for Lionel tells ABC News Radio that the entertainer had to pull out of the show due to “personal scheduling conflicts.”  Grammy winning singer/songwriter John Legend has stepped in to replace Lionel.

Duets, which premieres at the end of May, also features Kelly Clarkson, Sugarland‘s Jennifer Nettles and R&B star Robin Thicke.  Robin and Kelly have also served as mentors on NBC’s The Voice. The stars travel around the country finding undiscovered talent who then get the chance to duet with the stars on live TV while America votes.
