Eric Church has become one of country’s hottest touring acts this year, but his success all starts with his songwriting. In fact, Eric would still write songs if his country star status went away tomorrow.
“When I die, if they found me in bed, in the drawer beside my bed, they’d find a song I’m working on,” Eric tells the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “If I was working at Walmart, if I was roofing, that’s what I’d be doing anyway. That’s my passion.”
Eric had a hand in writing his latest hit, “Springsteen.” It’s included on his Grammy-nominated album, Chief, available now.
