SOUTHERN PINES–Over the past two weeks, several Southern Pines businesses have reported receiving counterfeit U.S. currency. According to the Pilot, police said the majority of the counterfeit money has been in $20 denominations, but on Saturday, a $100 bill was passed. Several of the businesses were restaurants. Anyone with information is urged to contact your nearest law enforcement office.
