SANFORD–Registered voters in Lee and the other 99 counties will begin voting Thursday for the May Primary. Early, or one-stop voting, runs Thursday through May 5. The Primary is May 8. The ballots are lengthy, but will be much smaller in the fall. The ballot includes the marriage amendment, and for local voters, it also includes the county commissioners race where five republican candidates are seeking nomination. The three nominees will face 3 democratic candidates in the fall. Early voting sites are open from 8 A.M to 5 P.M. Monday through Friday.
