SANFORD–Registered voters began casting ballots all across the state Thursday for the May 8 Primary.  Locally, 143 votes were casts at the two polling places-the Elections Board at 225 South Steele Street and the McSwain Extension Center on Tramway Road.  According to reports from Elections Director Nancy Kimball, 48 voters cast ballots at the McSwain Center and 97 at the Elections office.  Early, or one-stop voting will continue through May 5.  Several Independent and Unaffiliated voters questioned the ballots yesterday.  Tune in to the WWGP 10:04 A.M. local news Friday, when Kimball will explain the issue.
