Billy Currington is back in the U.S. now headlining his own tour, but he played for much smaller audiences on a trip to South America late last month.  Billy took his guitar to schools in Guatemala and hung out, jamming with the locals on the excursion.

“It’s something I’d like to do every year — it’s so rewarding,” Billy tells the Tulsa World newspaper.  “It’s not a big nonprofit drive or anything like that, at least not yet.  It’s just something I knew I could do.”

Billy is now in the middle of his spring tour with openers David Nail and Kip Moore.  They play a show in San Antonio Friday night.
