Miranda Lambert hasn’t even reached her 30s yet, but she plans on continuing her recording and touring career until her golden years. Her inspirations for achieving this kind of career longevity are Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton, who are still making music decades after they first topped the chart.
Miranda actually recorded a version of “Coal Miner’s Daughter” with Loretta a few years back, and they spent a day together at Loretta’s Tennessee home filming a music video for it.
Miranda tells the Tulsa World newspaper of Loretta, “She has always been brave enough to sing things that most women felt at the time but wouldn’t say, and she has done a good job of balancing her music and her family.”
Miranda continues making music on the On Fire tour with a show in Tulsa, OK Thursday night.
