SANFORD–Elections Director Nancy Kimball reminds Lee County residents that Friday, April 13, is the deadline for voter registration for the May 8 Primary. One stop voting will begin April 19. Kimball said voters who are already registered need not re-register to vote in this election. Residents who are not registered must do so by 5 P.M. Also, any voter who has moved or wants to change party affiliation must notify the Board of Elections of the change by the same deadline. The Board of Elections office is located at 225 S. Steele Street and is open Monday through Friday from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Voting by mail is also accepted. Registration forms are also available at the DMV office, Health Department, Social Services, Employment Security Commission, Lee County Libraries, and the Government Center.
