The Band Perry will begin work on their highly-anticipated sophomore soon, and they could have an A-list producer working on the project. The sibling trio recently met with Rick Rubin, who is famous for his work with Johnny Cash, the Dixie Chicks, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many other big acts.
Lead singer Kimberly Perry tells TheBoot.com, “He’s really brilliant. He was really fantastic. We took a meeting with him a couple of weeks ago. He was basically half-therapist, half-producer. So we’re excited.”
Kimberly won’t reveal if Rick is actually producing the new album though.
The group’s new single, “Postcard from Paris,” is the final single from their platinum, self-titled debut project.
