Rodney Atkins has shot the video for his new single, “He’s Mine,” but he’s keeping most of the details under wraps for now. What he will reveal is that it’s not what you might expect from him.
At first, Rodney wasn’t sure what approach to take for the video. He says, “The images in that song, the way they wrote it is what I loved about it. It was different. I was like, ‘How are we going to do this.?'”
Rodney continues, “We decided to take a completely different approach to it, and it’s gonna be — it’s a different video than we’ve done.”
Rodney used a helicopter to get extreme shots of him performing on the scaffolding of a bridge in his last video for “Take a Back Road,” and the new “He’s Mine” clip promises more big surprises.
Says Rodney, “That’s the goal is to keep things hopping.”
Rodney’s latest album, Take a Back Road, is out now.
