Jerrod Niemann‘s new single, “Shinin’ on Me,” was inspired by a conversation he had with his friend and co-writer Lee Brice.
“We said, you know, you may not always have the best run in life, but when you’re with buddies or someone you love, it’s all right,” Jerrod tells The Toledo Blade. “The song is about being in the moment with someone you care about.”
“Shinin’ on Me” is the lead single from Jerrod’s upcoming album. His last project, Judge Jerrod & The Hung Jury, put Jerrod on the map in country music.
He says, “I’m a huge country music fan, so I am so honored that fellow country music fans support us and let us do what we do. It truly is a dream come true.”
Jerrod’s sophomore album is due out later this year.
