Lady Antebellum‘s Own the Night tour starts out every night with the trio being lifted on a platform to suddenly appear onstage before the screaming audience. That didn’t quite work out the other night during their show in San Jose, CA. The platform stalled, leaving them stuck beneath the stage.
After a few frantic moments, band member Charles Kelley decided they should just crawl up through the hole above them onto the stage. According to the San Jose Mercury News, Charles told the crowd, “I think that was the most professional entrance I’ve ever seen.”
Lady A’s female member, Hillary Scott added, “have to note that I crawled out of that hole wearing leather pants.”
Hopefully, Lady Antebellum’s performance on this Sunday’s ACM Awards will go more smoothly. They’re up for four trophies at the show, airing live at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time on CBS.
