A judge in Indianapolis has ordered Sugarland‘s Jennifer Nettles to give a deposition next month in lawsuits over the stage collapse before their show last August at the Indiana State Fair.  According to Indianapolis ABC affiliate WRTV, Nettles must give the deposition between April 1 and 15.  Her duo partner Kristian Bush will be deposed at a later date.

Mid-America Sound Corporation built the stage rigging that collapsed, and they requested Sugarland give their depositions before going on tour next week.  Sugarland’s lawyers released a statement earlier this week saying the duo wouldn’t be “bullied” into giving the depositions without proper time to prepare.

State Fair Executive Director Cindy Hoye said in her deposition last year that Sugarland declined to cancel or delay the concert twice before the stage collapse happened.  Strong winds brought the rigging down on to the crowd killing seven people and injuring many more.
