PITTSBORO–Almost 50 leaders from Lee and Chatham counties met at the Pittsboro Campus of CCCC Tuesday to hear about economic development and their desire to work together for the future. Joe Glasson, chairman of the Chatham County EDC, said “we’re here to look into the future and ask what we have to do today to get there? We’re moving toward a common purpose: creating jobs through economic development.” Among those meeting were members of the Lee and Chatham counties’ boards of commissioners, EDC leaders, city mayors and other government officials, CCCC, public school officials, business people and a representative from U. S. Representative Renee Ellmers’ office.
