Home / Local Sanford, NC News / CUOC needs birdhouse help

SANFORD–Christian United Outreach Mission wears many hats–provides food boxes weekly,  provides Prom attire for young ladies to become Cinderella for one night, and helps with affordable clothing and household items.  Now, volunteers want help with building birdhouses.  Teresa Dew Kelly, Executive Director, said she is trying to collect some cedar/pine that can be used to make  birdhouses to sell at the Habitat Bird Store.  She said they can really use any scrap non-treated materials.  The largest pieces needed are 7X8 inches or close to it.  Persons interested in lending a hand may stop by the CUOC building at 2885 Lee Avenue or call 919-774-8485.
