SANFORD–Input from residents of Lee and Harnett Counties is needed regarding selection of a new superior court judge for Lee and Harnett Counties.  The 18 member commission that reviews applications when vacancies occur on the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, or Superior Court has submitted three candidates  to Governor Beverly Perdue regarding the vacancy in District 11A.  The candidates are C. Winston Gilchrist, David F. McRae, and April H. Phillips.  Members of the public are encouraged to contact Governor Perdue’s Legal Counsel’s Office at (919)715-1455 or at [email protected] to provide input on the three candidates.
