SANFORD- Two persons were injured, one seriously, in a two vehicle accident involving a pick-up and a Honda passenger vehicle Wednesday afternoon at Charlotte Avenue and Third Street.  One of the victims appeared to have been ejected from one of the vehicles and was lying in the roadway.  The other passenger, identified as a 70 year old male, complained of chest pains and was transported to Central Carolina Hospital for treatment.  After difficulty in getting Air Care to come to the site because of weather related issues, Wake Med agreed to come to Central Carolina Hospital and transport the passenger, however, that trip was cancelled by the attending physician.
