SANFORD-Much talk in the news lately about rebranding.  A local group comprised of educators, business leaders and the clergy have been meeting for several months as the Superintendent’s Advisory Council, building an educational strategic plan for  2013-17 for the Lee County Schools.  The vision of the group is the schools in partnership with the community.  During a recent meeting, Dr. Bud Marchant, Central Carolina Community College President, shared with the group a national report that shows the number of students entering four year colleges and universities who transfer back to  community colleges.  The article showed that about a third of the students make the transfer.
