SANFORD-Spring is just around the corner when thoughts for many young lsdies turn to Milotary Balls and Proms.
Many times, the events are skipped because there is no suitable dress and no funds to
to purchase. Then, there’s also the “size” issue. It’;s sometimes difficult to
find a plus size gown.
Reba Brewington, an employee with the Lee County School System does not like
that kind of talk. She wants every young lady to experience the Prom and
its wonderful highlights, so she and others work tirelessly to make it happen.
She even goes so far to take money from her own pocket when a suitable
gown is not available at Christian United Outreach Mission where The
Second Chance Prom Operates. Brewington is calling on the public to lend
a hand. The first event is March 17.
