Lady Antebellum just won the Best Country Album Grammy for Own the Night, but they’re already writing songs for their next album. Still, the group feels no rush to follow up Own the Night just yet. Speaking about that album, Hillary Scott tells Billboard, “As proud as we are of it, we all feel like we kind of rushed it a little bit. So we’re going to just settle in and write and write and write.” The band may go into the studio sometime this year, but Hillary says, “It’s hard to tell. We’re going to really wait until we’re ready.”
Right now, Lady A is busy with its Own the Night tour performing for fans in arenas across the country. The stage features an area in the middle called the inner circle where fans get really up close and personal with the trio. Lady A’s set was designed to get them as close to the fans as possible.
“We just wanted to build a show that made fans feel that we were continuing to grow this relationship with them and give all the fans — those in the inner circle and those out in the arena — a really unforgettable experience,” Hillary explains. “We’re not going too far outside of who we are, but we take it all up a notch.”
Lady Antebellum takes the Own the Night tour to New Orleans March 2.
