Alan Jackson set a new attendance record at the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo last week. It was Alan’s 15th appearance there, and officials say the crowd of nearly 17,000 fans is the biggest crowd they’ve had for a concert since the rodeo started in 1950.

“It’s one of my favorite places to play,” says Alan.  “The rodeo and folks in Texas have always been good to me and I want to thank the fans for coming out to see us all these years.”

Alan has been entertaining fans on the road for more than two decades now, and he’s always amazed to see people of all ages from all walks of life at his shows. “I’ve had fans that have to have a walker to get to the show…and some that have to have their mama carry ‘em there,” Alan says. “I’ve got this wide range of fans. There’ll be doctors and farmers, you know?”

Fans will get to hear much more from Alan soon as he gears up to release a new album later this year. The project will include Alan’s latest single, “So You Don’t Have to Love Me Anymore.”
